Tips for getting around (and where to put your car) while staying with EroRentals
One of the best parts of visiting Miami is exploring everything the city has to offer — from beaches and restaurants to vibrant neighborhoods. But before you arrive, it helps to know exactly where to park and how to get around, so you can spend less time worrying about logistics and more time enjoying your trip.
Here’s everything you need to know about parking and transportation during your stay.
Parking at Your Vacation Rental
Parking options can vary depending on which EroRentals property you choose. Here’s what to expect:
Private Driveways or Garages
Many of our houses and townhomes include dedicated driveways or private garages. If your rental has this amenity, you’ll receive detailed instructions about access when you book.
Assigned Parking Spots
Some condos and apartment buildings have assigned spots in secure parking garages. You’ll get your parking pass or code at check-in.
Street Parking
In some locations — especially in busier neighborhoods like South Beach — street parking is the norm. We’ll let you know whether it’s free, metered, or requires a residential permit.
Important Tip: Always read posted signs carefully and follow city parking rules to avoid tickets. If you have any questions, we’re just a call or text away.
Getting Around Without a Car
Miami is more walkable and ride-share-friendly than you might think. If you don’t want to rent a car, you have plenty of options:
Ride-Sharing Services
Uber and Lyft are widely available and often the easiest way to get around, especially for short trips or nights out.
Public Transportation
-
Metromover: A free downtown loop great for Brickell and the city core.
-
Metrorail and Metrobus: Affordable options for longer distances.
-
Trolleys: Many neighborhoods have free trolleys that run set routes.
Bike and Scooter Rentals
Should You Rent a Car?
It depends on your plans:
You might want a car if:
-
You plan to explore day trips (like the Everglades, Key Largo, or Fort Lauderdale).
-
You’re staying in a more residential neighborhood.
-
You have young kids or lots of gear.
You probably don’t need one if:
-
You’re staying in Brickell, Downtown, or South Beach.
-
You prefer not to drive in traffic.
-
You’ll mostly be walking, biking, or using ride shares.
If you do rent a car, we recommend booking early — especially during peak seasons — and confirming parking details with us before you arrive.
Getting to and From the Airport
Miami International Airport (MIA):
-
About 15–20 minutes by car to Brickell or Downtown.
-
Taxis, ride shares, and private transfers available.
-
Metrorail Orange Line connects the airport to downtown.
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport (FLL):
Need help arranging an airport pickup? Our concierge team can coordinate a private car service for a seamless arrival.
